Altercation Erupts in School Cafeteria
A Killeen ISD police officer was assaulted by a student during a Tuesday morning incident in the cafeteria at Chaparral High School, according to district officials. The altercation began when a dispute broke out between two students prior to the first bell. As the officer intervened to deescalate the situation, one of the students reportedly attacked him.
Legal Action and School Response
District spokespeople confirmed the incident is being handled in accordance with the Killeen ISD Code of Conduct, and that “appropriate legal measures” will be pursued. Fortunately, the officer was unharmed in the encounter, but officials emphasized the seriousness with which they address all campus safety matters.
