A Killeen ISD police officer was assaulted by a student during a Tuesday morning incident in the cafeteria at Chaparral High School, according to district officials. The altercation began when a dispute broke out between two students prior to the first bell. As the officer intervened to deescalate the situation, one of the students reportedly attacked him.​
